Iran in 30 Minutes

On October 8, Hani Mansourian, a second-year SIPA student from Iran, presented a brief overview of Iran, highlighting historic and geopolitical facts as well as touching on current events of note.  Hani's presentation took place in the context of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad's visit to Columbia and answered basic questions that observers of Ahmedinejad may have had regarding the contextual background of Iran.

Hani's presentation was the first presentation of an ongoing speaker series at SIPA that will provide a general-level overview of countries around the globe to give a context to academic readings and a starting point for further research.  Upcoming presentations include India, Colombia, Kosovo, and Kenya.  Videos of the presentations will be available on the Morningside Post.
